Today we spent the class hour working on a virtual lab. To complete this at home, you can go on the internet and log on to Classzone.com. Once you are logged on, find our biology book.

Click on Virtual Lab, scroll down and choose "Exploring Plant Responses". Follow step by step. The lab will not allow you to proceed unless you have completed each step.
After finishing the lab, proceed to Animated Biology. Choose Ch. 1 ; Life through Different Microscopes. Observe each of the 3 specimens under each type of microscope.

NO homework!!! (Packers won!!)

Bacteria Collection Step 1

Students gather bacteria from two similar locations in the school. They will place their bacteria cultures in an incubator for 24 hour periods. Each day they will gather data and document the changes to their cultures. The second component of the bacteria collection lab is to test the ability of common household products to either prevent the growth of bacteria or kill bacteria that are already growing. Students design their own experiment, collect bacteria, grow bacteria, and test antimicrobial products. This is an on-going project requiring 2-4 weeks of class time.
